St. Mary’s Hotel School Reunion
St. Mary’s Hotel School Reunion
26th – 29th April, Templegate Hotel, Ennis, Limeirck
Over the past year Dermot Enright, Patsy Mc Guirk and others have been reminising over having a grand
reunion for all the past pupils of St Mary’s Hotel School Athenry as we enter the twilight years of our career’s.
In our opinion the years we spent in St Mary’s prepared us well for life and the profession we selected.
We wanted to have our grand reunion in the west of Ireland and contacted John Madden a first year student of St Mary’s Hotel School and proprietor of the 4 Star Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis Co Clare.
Dermot travelled over from England and Patsy joined him in the Hotel with their wives for two nights we
believe that it is a fitting and worthy venue for the reunion.
The Hotel rests on the site of a 19th century Convent of Mercy with a fasinating and eventful history.
It is discreetly situated just off Ennis town centre, a short walk through the warm glow of the victorian lamps in the cobblestoned courtyard leads guests to the heart of the historical and vibrant town of Ennis. The hotel is very conveniently accessible from the motorway and Shannon Airport.During our visit John was a fantastic host and was very instrumental in preparing the programme of events for the upcoming reunion.
John brought us around to meet the management at Dromoland and Bunratty Castle’s and they have assured us of their utmost attention at all times during our visit. John has managed leading hotels around the world and is the Proprietor of the Temple Gate Hotel for the past twenty years, he is supported in managing the hotel by his son Paul.
Please find download the programme of events for the weekend from here. We are getting a fantastic response to this very nostalgic reunion.
We trust that you will be able to join us, we know it will be a very enjoyable few days.
Yours Sincerely,
Dermot Enright – Organiser, Patsy Mc Guirk – Organiser, John Madden – Host
