Restaurants Association of Ireland and Drogheda Homeless Aid are delighted to ask you to be a part of 2015’s Dine and Give campaign!

The concept is simple; participating restaurants display small information tent cards on tables describing the work the charity does and diners are asked to leave a small donation to cover the cost of providing a hot meal to a homeless person. Donations are collected by servers at the end of each sitting and collected by the charity at regular durations. In its first year this simple but effective fund raiser struck a chord with Drogheda’s diners and raised a total of €1,000 over four days.

In 2015 Drogheda Homeless Aid served over 14,600 meals to homeless individuals as well as people suffering from poverty in the community and we need your help to continue providing this necessary service. 100% of funds raised goes towards Drogheda Homeless Aid food budget.

Here’s what ‘Dine and Give’ founder Austin Campbell has to say:

“The four short days of the 2014 campaign shows how much can be achieved when we work together as a community. Every restaurant and every diner contributed to making ‘Dine and Give’ a great community initiative, bringing change to the lives of those less fortunate. We should be proud of our local businesses for reaching out and supporting local charity and I would call on all local ‘foodies’ to do likewise and give their support to the towns restaurants. Together as a community we can grow stronger and move towards brighter horizons once again in 2015”.

Adrian Cummins, CEO of Restaurants Association of Ireland, added:

“Restaurants Association of Ireland are delighted to endorse the ‘Dine and Give’ campaign. As with our own benevolent fund we are always looking for ways to help those who have fallen on hard times and this campaign proved an opportunity for us to do so. We would like to congratulate our member restaurants for taking part in the2104 initiative and call on them to do so once again in 2015”.
